3. <— this is my late doggo Annie, beloved Jack Russell of 19 years, passed in late 2023. Always been a dog person. So it blows my mind that I’ve been adopted by a rescue tiger one of my distant cousins take care of at their sanctuary that I’m obligated to visit every few months to prevent her from going into depression — to get an idea how beloved I am to this tigger’s eyes, she will attempt to lay in my lap and playfully paw at my face (no claws), she’d give me a full bath, and she only let me be the one to help her with removing a rotten tooth that was causing her agony while eating. My cousin claims I could put my entire arm down her throat and she would let me (I’m never going to test that). Don’t also blows my mind that the Cat Distribution System struck once again and a Ragdoll cat has adopted me from the streets. This trilling furball runs up to me and hugs my leg as if he had known me all his life and refuses to let go. I pry him off and put him back on the street (I’m not about to take a random cat — I’m assuming the cat is owned) he only runs back and hugs my leg. Repeat this 4-5x — till I try jumping into my car to get away. This furball jumps in and sits in the passenger seat. I take him out and put him on the street, he runs back and jumps in the car Repeat this 8x I finally roll my eyes to heaven and accept I’ve been adopted — again I’m a doggo person, never owned a cat I named him Shiki (Yes that Shiki from Kara no Kyoukai (Garden of Sinners/Tsukihime)) It’s been 6 weeks since adoption, I’ve done all I can to ensure he wasn’t another persons beloved pet - even contacting 6 humane societies to check for lost/missing cats and for a chip. The last humane society offered to put a chip in making his adoption of me official — and thus, I am a cat dad now. Shiki has never clawed me or bitten me in annoyance or anger, only in roughhousing and play (light hearted nibbles). 6x now he’s sought me out to nap on my chest, 3 other times he’s groomed my hair (with licks and nibbles and pawing). The only disciplinary action I do is if he’s somewhere I don’t want him - I grab him and sling him over my shoulder in holding time. Any bad behavior, I hiss/and or pick him up and take him to his room and close the door. Other than that he’s my basic shadow and tripping hazard — anytime he runs he’s trilling and if has something to say, he lets me know Still learning how to be a cat owner — when to play with him and or how much (I know cats are majority independent and will do what they want when they want, but I don’t want him to become bored he might run away).

5. I’m adopting a ragdoll, it has been born and I’m still deciding! I see it in 2 and a half weeks, and get it near my bday, this helps a lot! I have always been a cat person, never a dog once in my life. My cat died recently and my bro’s cat is lonely so we needed a new start. ❤😢
